Wise Center "Blue Court" Weekly Schedule

Having trouble finding some free court time in the Wise Center?  Check out the new weekly activity schedule posted on the black board as you enter the court area.  Any block of time that is in white - means the court is free for first come first served use.  The colored blocks designate scheduled activities for student groups, club sports, varsity sports and intramurals.

The schedule will be updated every Monday - reflecting only that week's activities and available court time.

Equestrian Team Having a Great Fall Season

The equestrian team did extremely well at the show this past weekend.  It was the region's first time showing at Grier, an all-girls boarding school with an equestrian program (and thus, the first time our team has ridden these particular horses).  As a team, we came in "reserve high point team" which means second overall.  This is only the second time since our start 10 years ago that we have done this (the first of which was the end of last year's season).  One of our freshman, Sarah Durrer, was named "reserve high point rider" for receiving two second places in the highest IHSA division of competition.  Only the first and second teams and the  first and second individual team members receive any special recognition; however, several of our riders "pointed out" of their respective divisions this weekend, and will be going on to regionals on April 2, 2011 with a chance to continue on to zones (April 9), and potentially nationals (May 5-8th).  We anticipate others pointing out by the end of the school year and will likely have more Allegheny students attend regionals than ever before.

WVU took "high point team" and a senior WVU member took "high point rider," but we surpassed PITT, Edinboro, and Seton Hil (among many others), who are notoriously successful at these competitions.
